FlexTex Fabrics by Mount Vernon FR Meet New Certifications

TRION, GA – December 23, 2013 – Mount Vernon FR recently certified two of the flame resistant fabrics in their FlexTex line, Seminole Flex and Chickasaw Flex, to NFPA 2112, which provides minimum requirements for the design, construction, evaluation and certification of flame-resistant garments for use by industrial personnel. Chickasaw Flex was also certified to meet standards of CGSB 155.20, which regulates the performance of workwear worn for protection against unplanned exposure to hydrocarbon flash fire.

The Mount Vernon FR FlexTex line recently launched at the ASSE Show in June, and was developed for increased comfort and mobility. FlexTex fabrics include an elastomeric fiber that allows fabric to flex up to 14% with a 97% recovery. Mount Vernon FR FlexTex fabrics have a bilateral flex that allows them to elongate sideways and diagonally, eliminating any sagging or bagging, and making reaching and bending easier for workers wearing garments made from FlexTex fabrics.
